How The War System Works

*The server makes use of EventWar, as it’s war system, you can read the wiki to understand in a higher detail how the war system works, however keep in mind that as we’ve configured the system to an extent, some information may or may not be incorrect, and if you’re unsure about something, it’s best to ask a staff member before assuming that something is the way it is.
Wars are started by the purchase of a war book with war tokens, every town collects 3 war tokens every day whilst not being neutral. Being neutral means you avoid all sorts of conflicts, and by default every town is neutral unless the mayor has run the command /t toggle neutral off
.
These are the types of wars that exist, and respectively how many tokens they cost to start:
Riot - Costs 10 Tokens
Town War - 15 Tokens
Independence War - 20 Tokens
Civil War - 25 Tokens
Nation War - 30 Tokens
Alliance War - 50 Tokens
After a war has successfully started, you may only fight and conquer territories in between 18:00 GMT - 21:00 GMT on each day of the week, as we use battle sessions so that wars can be more balanced in between different time zones.
Some war types require a certain amount of players to be online on both sides in order for the war to start. Alliance wars, Nation wars, Civil wars and independence wars require at least 5 players to be online on both sides. For Town wars, at least one player needs to be online on both sides.
If you want to host a war, but do not want to use this system in place, you can make an unofficial war by crafting a writable book, writing all war rules and terms in it, then copying the book and making the leader of both sides sign a copy of it. Keep in mind that both sides still need to not be neutral.
In order to win the war, the opposite side need to either offer a peace treaty by offering between nothing, money, or land. If no side surrenders, the war continues to go on until either one side doesn’t have any land left if everything got conquered, or if the predetermined time has ran out. In case the time runs out, the winner is determined by the side that has earned the most points. Here are how the points are calculated:
Conquering 1 town-block = 1 Point
Killing 1 Player = 5 Points
Conquering a Town = 100 Points
Conquering a Nation = 300 Points
In the case of a Riot starting, only kills will be counted towards points where as the player that earned the most kills becomes the new leader, points are also only earnable during the war sessions mentioned earlier.
Firstly, it is important to note that all griefing rules are still being enforced regardless if you’re in a conflict or not, even if you’ve conquered a town, you may not grief any buildings in said town without opening a ticket and making a request first. However, in a warzone, you are allowed to use fireballs, and TNT, in the case that enemies are hiding underground since we have a system which regenerates all exploded blocks after a certain period of time, so it is totally fine to make use of explosives in a warzone.
Besides using explosives for the purpose of reaching enemies, no building or griefing is generally allowed outside the border of a town, inside of a warzone, or inside of an occupied zone. However small military constructions like forts and walls are okay.
